10 Modules including fretboard skills, rhythm studies, important Funk bassists, tracks and much more!
The purpose of this course is to introduce you to Funk Bass and the players. It’s difficult to say what makes something feel funky, that’s why it’s important to check out as many players to really absorb the style. Playing funk is about the groove! We will look to the pioneers, from James Brown bassists and the Meters to Jamiroquai and Tower of Power. Like all the styles, Funk has a vocabulary, we will also look at all the scales, chords, grooves and rhythms you will need to know.
